I'm about to start making a wallpaper with Pokemon in it. A small part of the wall will entail a framed painting / photo of something. Then I remembered your render with Pokemon capsules...

I'd like to ask permission to use your wallpaper as THAT framed photo or painting. I'll give full credit to your work when I post it and will even put a small sig if you'd like.

Haha, no problem. I myself am very into 3D, but mostly 3D animation. Also, I've always wanted to see proper use of 3D for creating wallpapers here on AP. I've seen some half-3D work before, but it just doesn't quite look so good in combination with a drawn character. I think you've found a nice way to produce beautiful anime walls in 3D, though you might be limited to displaying objects, like pokeballs and other iconic items. I still want to make a cel shaded 3D anime wall, but I haven't found the right ideas, motivation and time for it yet. But that's a development you might want to watch, since surprisingly many present day cartoons are made with 3D software (family guy, south park, but also anime like the BECK intro is done partly in 3D).

I'm not very familiar with C4D by the way, but I know a couple of motion graphic artists who use it, because it's a great tool that gets you good results very fast. So yea, good luck with exploring the possibilities and I'd love to see more 3D walls from you!
